Bugingo, House of Prayer Ministries (Canan Land) Senior pastor has finally apologised to his ex-wife, Teddy Naluswa and his children following three years of feud.

Bugingo and Teddy bitterly parted ways in 2019 following 21 years in marriage. This was after Bugingo started secretly seeing his Salt FM employee, Susan Makula.

Teddy first kept quiet but when matters went out of hand, she decided to go public and exposed the flamboyant pastor.

The coarse-voiced pastor revealed that he decided to part ways with Teddy because she was not well health wise.

When Bugingo and Teddy separated, the former went to court and filed for divorce which the latter challenged.

High court Family Division presided over by Justice Joseph Murangira directed The coarse-voiced pastor to first consider the option of mediation before the case should be heard. Unfortunately the mediation hit a dead end.

Teddy Naluswa opposed the dissolution of their marriage, saying what God has already put together no person can separate.

The coarse-voiced pastor wanted to divorce Teddy and wed Susan Makula. Knowing that Makula could not stand on the pulpit with him, he opted to go traditional and on on November 26th, he visited visited Susan Makula’s parents at their home in Kyebando. This was followed by the introduction ceremony that took place at Kawuku, Katabi Town Council, Wakiso District on December 7th.

On December 22, Lawyer, Male Mabirizi dragged Bugingo to Entebbe Chief Magistrate Court and charged Bugingo and Makula with three counts;

  1. Contracting marriage by Customary Law when already married under the Marriage Act Cap 521 contrary to Section 50 of the Marriage Act, Cap 251.
  2. Marriage with a person previously married contrary to section 42 of the Marriage Act, Cap 251.
  3. Bigamy contrary to section 153 of the penal code act, Cap 120.

However, Mabirizi failed to produce evidence and the case was dismissed.

After the news of Teddy and The coarse-voiced pastor separation went viral, the pair exchanged nasty words. Bugingo also branded his daughter, Doreen a dog as she sided with her mum.

Last week, Doreen graduated with Masters Degree in Telecommunication but Bugingo did not attend. During the interview, Doreen revealed that she never apologised to her dad, Bugingo.

After three years of feud, finally the man of God apologised to Teddy and his children during a church service at Canan Land.
