Frank Walusimbi

Celebrated journalist, Frank Walusimbi has today read his last bulletin of NTV ‘Akawungeezi’ following 15 years of dedicated service.

Walusimbi joined NTV when it was launching in 2006 and made viewers fall in love with the Luganda news thanks to his unique calm style.

His combination with Faridah Nakazibwe has made it hard for other TV stations to dethrone ‘Akawungeezi’ news despite hiring established media personalities.

Now that he has hung up his boots, the mantle has shifted to Faridah Nakazibwe and Sandrah Nakiwala to keep viewers glued.

We are not sure if NTV is going to hire another male presenter to fill Walusimbi’s void but we hear he has been promoted at Serena based station.

‘Akawungezi’ news a side, Walusimbi has been doubling as an editor at NTV.

His workmates have started sending him farewell messages as they wish him the best on his new assignment.

Today our celebrated news anchor @FrankWALUSIMBI has done his last bulletin of Akawungenzi after 15 years of hard work and a high level of professionalism. We wish him all the best in his next assignment
