Arnold Segawa is rumoured to have quit NTV Uganda for unknown destination as fellow news anchor, Flavia Tumusiime ponders to exit station too.

For the few years, he has been on TV, Segawa has been ranked among the industry’s very best.

He has earned himself followers over his news reading style and flow.

Since NTV Uganda was launched in 2006, It raided workers from rival television stations and established its self as No.1 in the country.

Over the years, it has kept on losing its top workers to rival stations over managerial changes.

Hatma Nalugwa Sekaaya, Sheila Nduhukire, Douglas Lwanga, MC Kats, Raymond Mujuni, Solomon Sserwanjja, Rukh-Shana Namuyimbwa, Wisdom Kiyonga, Dean Lubowa Saava, Sheila Mugisha, Anita Fabiola among others left NTV for NBS TV because of attractive offers.

When Covid-19 struck, most media stations laid off some employees and forced others to take pay cuts.

This forced most journalists to throw in towels; a case in point – Sanyu FM which had to recruit news workers after the old guard declined to take pay cuts and resigned.

For Segawa, word has it that the he quit after NTV declined to honor his salary increment request.

We also hear that Flavia Tumusiime could follow suit over he same issue.

As Kin Karisa positions himself to establish NBS TV as the No.1 station in Uganda, don’t be shocked if the Naguru Hill-based station unveil the pair soon.
