Yesterday, Uganda football governing body, Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA), dismissed midfielder, Khalid Aucho from Cranes camp citing indiscipline.

Aucho refused to board the official means of transport organised to pick him from Entebbe International Airport to the team camp at Cranes Paradise Hotel Kisasi and has not even reported to camp since his arrival in the country

Part of FUFA Statement reads.

However, Aucho dismissed the allegations citing witch hunt.

Aucho (L) training with Hassan Wasswa

I reached at half past 2, then told the person who was sent to pick me that I was not feeling well and immediately needed to see a doctor to ascertain why my body was not functioning well . I knew I had to go to camp, that’s why I travelled here in the first place but I also needed to at least briefly see my family . I have to see my kids to bless me whenever I am home because I take some much time away from them.

Aucho told Grapevine.

Aucho further revealed that his problems with FUFA stem from his strong support for National Unity Platform (NUP) presidential candidate, Bobi Wine.

Aucho’s post on Facebook throwing his support behind Bobi Wine

Even if I supported Bobi Wine for presidency, it’s my constitutional right. Like I can support any football Club of my choice. It is a matter of choice. I still didn’t do anything wrong

Aucho told Grape Vine.

Other players have spent more than 12 hours and some 48 before joining camp but they haven’t been penalised or faced any rebuttal

Aucho added.
