Rickman On Why He Is Not Ready to Have Kids With Sheilah Gashumba

Singer Rickman Manrick, real name Derrick Ddungu has revealed why he is not ready to have kids with socialite ad media personality, Sheilah Gashumba.

Sheilah and Rickman started dating in April 2021, a month after God’s Plan publicly dumped the Lil Stunner.

This shocked God’s Plan who thought Rickman was his buddy hence branding him a snake. He also attacked Sheilah Gashumba and made claims that she moves with juju in car boot and that she was also close to Vinka’s baby daddy, Witta Nelson.

Rickman and Sheilah almost parted ways in February when Nigerian singer, Ruger jetted into the country.

Since Sheilah was promoting his shows, she spent most of her time with him which made Rickman jealous. Things got worse when she travelled with him to Rwanda.

We heard they spent months without talking but finally, they were spotted together at Olives Bar and Restaurant in Naguru in August.

While appearing on one of the local radio stations, Rickman was asked when is he planning to marry Sheilah Gashumba and when are they planning to have kids.

He responded that he is not in a rush for marriage or having kids because he is not yet able to afford the lifestyle he would want his children to live.

I wouldn’t call it mentality but I’ve traveled and I am exposed to different cultures and rushing into getting married and having kids when you’re not ready, I’m not ready! I’m not ready to marry someone’s daughter or have kids.

I was born in Uganda and I have seen what my family went through. I wouldn’t want my child to be in that position. If I am not ready, say financially, I won’t be able to. The things I want for my child, I haven’t gotten them yet.

I would want my child to be in the Arsenal academy but I haven’t yet gotten to that level. We are still working, we have goals and ambitions

Rickman

Apart from singing, Rickman is also a footballer. He used to play for Sweden-based side Savedalen before relocating back to Uganda.

He has undergone several trials with KCCA FC but not yet successful.
