Netizens Divided As Victoria University Name Bad Black As Ambassador

Netizens are buzzing on social media after seeing ex-con, Shanitah Namuyimbwa aka Bad Black bag Victoria University ambassadorial deal.

Today, Bad Black signed a multi-million deal with Victoria University to help them entice students to join the Jinja road based campus witnessed by Vice Chancellor, Dr Lawrence Muganga.

This has sparked debate on the internet as some netizens question as to whether the Masolo Queen who did not even finish primary school eligible to be an ambassador of a university.

Over the years, Victoria University has appointed celebs as ambassadors and offered scholarships to others in bid to market the campus across the country.

NTV ‘Akawungeezi’ news anchor, Faridah Nakazibwe was appointed Victoria University ambassador. Her close friend and singer, Bruno K bagged himself a scholarship.

Last week, noise makers from newly formed Uganda Bloggers Association; Isma Olaxess, Wisdom Kaye, Ashburg Katto among others secured scholarships to study at Victoria University.

Ugandans should note that it does not require one to be educated to become an ambassador of the University. Bad Black has many followers on social media and she can pass on the message which can influence their decision to choose Victoria University.
