Sadio Mane is due an upgrade on his current contract if the leaked Liverpool wage bill is anything to go by.

The wage bill of Liverpool FC has been revealed and it seems striker Sadio Mane might be the most undervalued player at Anfield.

Mane’s Egyptian strike partner Mohammed Salah tops the wage bill, taking home £200,000 per week but the Senegalese star earns half of that.

In figures leaked to The SunMane comes in ninth among Liverpool’s top earners.

Mane extended his contract with Liverpool in 2018, committing to the club until the end of the 2022/23 season. It has been widely reported that Mane is set to be offered a bumper new contract to ward off suitors, in particular Real Madrid.

Fabinho and Joel Matip are on a similar pay package to Mane with newly signed Thiago second on the list of top earners ahead of Bobby Firmino and Virgil van Dijk who bag £180,000 per week.

Defender Andy Robertson and goalkeeper Alisson also seem to be undervalued on their current deals. The Scotland captain earns half the salary that Mane commands, while the Brazilian stopper’s £90,000 wages leave him outside of the club’s top 12 earners.

Georginio Wijnaldum appears to be bound for Barcelona on a free despite the offer of a drastic improvement on his £75,000 per week deal.

Thiago’s salary casts his relatively low transfer fee in a different light and he still needs to prove he is worth the £10 million per year that Liverpool have agreed to pay him.
