AFCON U20: Uganda Hippos Through To Final After Humiliating Tunisia | WATCH ALL GOALS

Uganda Hippos have qualified for the final of the U20 Africa Cup of Nations after defeating Tunisia 4-1 at Stade Cheikha Ould Boïdiya in Mauritania.

Derrick Kakooza’s hattrick and Richard Basangwa’s strike were enough to send the Hippos to their maiden U20 AFCON final where they will play Ghana which defeated Gambia 1-0.

In 36th minute, Basangwa assisted Derrick Kakooza who doubled the Hippos lead with an easy tap-in.

In 38th minute, the Hippos found themselves on panicking end after Tunisia’s ace Ben Lamin rebounded Jack Komakech’s save to send the match into the break 2-1.

At the resumption of second half, The Hippos were determined to finish off the job, Derrick Kakooza bagged his second goal of the match, heading in Bobosi Byaruhanga’s long cross.

In 75th minute, Kakooza completed his hattrick to seal the win for the Hippos.

With the match all but sealed, Hippos head coach, Morley Byekwaso made double change as Steven Sserwadda who was on a yellow made way for Ivan Eyamu while Samuel Ssenyonjo replaced Basangwa.

Hippos’ main aim now is to defeat Ghana in the final, write history and also bag $200k promised by FUFA president Eng. Moses Magogo.
