Jacob Oulanya Selected As NRM Candidate For Speakership Race

Jacob Oulanyah has been selected as National Resistance Movement (NRM)’s top organ, the Central Executive Committee (CEC) candidate for the Speakership of the 11th Parliament.

This development comes after yesterday’s meeting failed to make a decision on the issue of Speakership of Parliament and all members had to sleep at State House in order not to be bribed.

Today morning, the incumbent, Rebecca Kadaga who has been serving as Speaker of Parliament since 2011, lost the majority vote in CEC, paving way for her deputy, Jacob Oulanyah to battle with contestants in the forthcoming election.
