Pastor Simeon Kayiwa of Namirembe Christian Fellowship has denied attending Pastor Aloysius Bugingo and Susan Makula Nantaba’s illegal introduction ceremony.

Pr Kayiwa was among the entourage that escorted Bugingo for his introduction ceremony that took place at Kawuku, Katabi Town Council, Wakiso District on December 7th.

Speaking to UBC TV in an interview, Kayiwa said he had no knowledge of the introduction ceremony and was invited to pray for the family. He claims he was asked to go in a dress code to grace the get together of people that are involved in Bugingo’s life.

I went there to pray, any person can pray. I went there to pray and bless the family. They asked us to come in a dress code, it was free and i was like why should i be an odd man out? Bugingo is my student and a pastor, he cannot invite me and i refuse. It was a get together for the people that are involved in Pastor Bigingo’s life

Kayiwa’s lies come days after Pastor Aloysius Bugingo of House of Prayer Ministries International also denied having been introduced by Susan Makula in his his police statement.

On December 22, Entebbe Chief Magistrate Court charged Bugingo and Makula with three counts;

  1. Contracting marriage by Customary Law when already married under the Marriage Act Cap 521 contrary to Section 50 of the Marriage Act, Cap 251.
  2. Marriage with a person previously married contrary to section 42 of the Marriage Act, Cap 251.
  3. Bigamy contrary to section 153 of the penal code act, Cap 120

This was after Bwerenga LC1 Chairman confirmed that the customary marriage ceremony indeed took place.

Bugingo who is still legally married with Teddy Naluswa, is expected together with Makula to appear before court on January 21, 2022.
