Bobi Wine Resumes School After Diploma Trolls, To Graduate This year

Bobi Wine real name Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu has resumed school after netizens trolled him for leading a mass opposition party – NUP with a diploma.

Bobi graduated with a diploma in Music Dance and Drama (MDD) from Makerere University 20- years ago and concentrated on music career.

In 2017, Bobi joined politics and contested in the Kyadondo East by-election winning with the race with 78%. After joining parliament, he picked interest in the top seat and in 2019, he declared his intention to run for presidential seat in 2021 general elections.

Unfortunately, he lost to president Museveni who won with 58.38%. The national Unity president (NUP) candidate came second with 35.08%.

Bobi Wine disputed the results and dragged Museveni to court, however, he late withdrew the case and took it to people’s court where it flopped.

Riding on his music popularity, Bobi is leading the educated NUP party members on a diploma. Recently, he aimed a dig at his old music rivals; Jose Chameleone and Bebe Cool saying he better than them musically, academically, financially and socially.

Critics started bashing him that at his level, he shouldn’t be talking of a diploma.

In 2017, before joining parliament, Bobi Wine enrolled as a Law student at the International University of East Africa (IUEA) – Kansanga. With NUP General Secretary, David Lewis Rubongoya being his lecturer at that time, when presidential ambitions got into his head, he paused the four-year course.

When Cavendish University opened a branch near NUP offices in Kamwokya, Bobi Wine transferred his law course from IUEA to Cavendish.

The NUP principal resumed lectures at Cavendish University on Tuesday, April 11, 2023.

An insider told us that ‘Nalumansi’ singer has been taking on online classes in previous months and he attended his first physical lecture yesterday, surprising his course mates.

“Bobi is actually likely to graduate this year, has been redoing all the papers he missed”, Insider told Routineblast.com
