President Yoweri Museveni has appointed Justine Nameere as a presidential advisor.

The development comes days after Nameere announced that she will launching TM TV, the first television in Greater Masaka region on September 30th, 2021.

The senior presidential press secretary, Lindah Nabusaayi, confirmed Nameere’s appointment on Tuesday and revealed that the daughter to defence minister, Vincent Sempijja is now a presidential advisor in charge of the Greater Masaka region.

This is a relief to Nameere who lost the National Resistance Movement (NRM) primaries for the Central Uganda youth MP flag to Agnes Kirabo, who went on to win the seat.

Nameere, a media personality and lawyer became popular because of her battles with NTV ‘Kawungeezi’ news reader and ‘Mwasuze Mutya’ presenter, Faridah Nakazibwe.

Last year, Nameere decided to forgive Faridah Nakazibwe following years of bickering. Nakazibwe accused Nameere of feeding toxic info to former husband, Umar Ssali but later found out that the guy was a ‘Mufeere’.

Nameere now joins a list of several other presidential advisors who include; Amelia Kyambadde, Gen. Elly Tumwine and Dr Ruhakana Rugunda among others.
