Frustration with more Barcelona board leaks and the treatment of Luis Suarez were the biggest influences on Lionel Messi’s decision to seek a transfer.

That’s according to El Chiringuito’s Cristobal Soria, who revealed Messi was furious over claims he interfered in the team selection for the Champions League thrashing by Bayern Munich.

It was reported Messi had demanded a line-up change before kickoff, something the Argentine denies. That it was sourced to someone inside the club has infuriated the captain,

Messi is also upset with the decision to force out good friend Suarez. The Argentine learned the call from coach Ronald Koeman lasted “one minute and 52 seconds”, where he was told he was unwanted for next season.

Meanwhile, claims Messi was also upset over his conversation with Koeman have been denied by his camp.
