Legendary singer, Juliana Kanyomozi has announced concert dates and venue following years taking a music break.
Juliana came to the music scene in early 2000s singing in a duo, I-Jay with Irene Namubiru. The pair later partied ways when Irene left for France to sty with the husband.
Juliana had a voice but because she was singing English songs, she had uptown fans. She later announced herself to the down town music lovers when she recorded a Luganda collaboration ‘Mama Mbire’ with Bobi Wine. The song was dedicated to Charles Mbire’s mum.
She also recorded other songs and thrilled music lovers such as; Omutima Oguluma, Nabikoowa, Usiende Mbali FT Bushoke, Nkyanoonya, Mailka Wange, Kibaluma, Mundeke, Kanyimbe among others.
When Juliana lost her boy, Keron Raphael Kabugo to Asthma at Aga Khan Hospital in Kenya in 2014, she took a break from music. Luckily enough, God blessed her with another baby boy, Taj in May 2020.
Following years off the music scene, Tshaka Mayanja announced she was going to headline Soul-R&B Safari on May 07, 2022, at Kampala Serena Hotel Gardens.
At last minute, Juliana made a U-turn. Word from streets intimated to us that her concert organisers advised her to turn it down since she had hers on the way.
Today, Juliana took to her socials and announced a concert ‘Juliana Live at Serena’ on Friday, August 19.
Tickets go for 150k and tables at 3m.
