Grenade real name, Deus Ndugwa has bitterly parted ways with Team No Sleep (TNS) boss Jeff Kiwa following a year working together.
When Sheebah officially separated ways with Jeff Kiwa in December 2021, the TNS boss assembled a team; Grenade, Rahma Pinky and others to replace her.
Grenade has been a success since he teamed up with Jeff. He dropped a collaboration titled ‘Picha’ with Pinky and a single Babandana which ruled the airwaves.
Grenade, currently is among the most booked artists and recently he bought a Mercedes Benz to celebrate success.
Jeff Kiwa, mastered the art of promoting artists and getting them hit songs. He rose to fame while managing Jose Chameleone. He later left Chameleone, took on the Good Lyfe Crew of Radio & Weasel – making them a deadly duo.
When the Good Lyfe boys kicked him out, Jeff signed Sheebah Karungi and made her a top female artist. However, it should be noted that every artist that separate with Jeff, end up flopping. Case in point are the Good Lyfe Crew. Sheebah is also currently not doing well and still surviving on the songs she recorded while still with Jeff.
We now fear for Grenade. According to NBS TV gossipmonger, Kaiyz, Grenade split with Jeff because of drugs and indiscipline.
Those who know Jeff, he is a controlling manager who doesn’t want to see his artists loiter around. During his tenure with the Good Lyfe Crew and Sheebah, they were scarce and would appear on shows.
When Pinky started sneaking out of the rental to comb city hangout spots at night, Jeff kicked her out of TNS. When Grenade bought a Mercedes Benz, he became unruly. He has been moving place to place to show off which irritated Jeff.
An insider also intimated to us that Grenade has a problem of drugs. Jeff warned him to quit but the ‘Babandana’ hitmaker kept a deaf ear.
We hear the ‘Nkuloga’ hitmaker has already appointed a new manager.
