Gen Muhoozi Reshuffles MK Army Leaders, Drops Frank Gashumba As Spokesperson

Former UPDF Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), Gen Muhoozi Kainerugana has replaced Frank Gashumba as the spokesperson of his movement, MK Army.

In November, MK Army convened at KCCA stadium in Lugogo and elected leaders. Among the elected was Frank Gashumba who won the position of director of media and communications.

Two months down the road, Gen Muhoozi has made changes, replacing Gashumba with senior journalist, Andrew Mwenda.

In a tweet, Gen Muhoozi announced that Mwenda is the official spokesperson of MK Army/Movement.

I’m happy to announce that Mr.Andrew Mwenda is the official spokesperson for the MK Army/Movement. All our statements will go through his office.

Muhoozi also appointed Hon. Kabanda as as the deputy spokesperson Buganda Region with Balaam Barugahara as National Vice Chairman for Western Uganda.

We don’t know how the MK army will digest his decision to replace the people they elected, but they have no choice.

We expect more changes to follow.

The MK Army headed by chairman Toyota are currently marketing Gen Muhoozi country wide as a potential replacement for president Museveni.

They describe Muhoozi as a standby generator.
