Chelsea celebrate a 4-0 win FK Krasnodar

It was a tale of two penalties as Chelsea picked up their first win of the group stages.

Jorginho had the chance to give the Blues the lead early on but his spot-kick hit the post before Matvei Safonov denied Timo Werner from the rebound. It is the second successive penalty the Italian has missed.

Callum Hudson-Odoi got his teammate out of trouble when his right-footed effort squirmed over Safonov, who should’ve done better in goal for the hosts.

Werner, who earned the first penalty, then stepped up for the second and smashed the ball straight down the middle before Hakim Ziyech slotted home his first goal for the club.

Christian Pulisic made the most of some good work from Tammy Abraham to wrap up the three points.
