Chelsea have made a late bid for Leeds winger Raphinha.

Arsenal held talks with Leeds after their initial offer of £30m plus add-ons was rejected last week.

The Gunners submitted an improved offer, but it has not come close to what Chelsea have put forward.

The Daily Mail reports that Chelsea will pay £55m plus add-ons for the Brazil international.

Thomas Tuchel wants to pair Raphinha and Raheem Sterling in his new look attack next season.

The Blues remain in talks with Manchester City over a £55m deal for the England international.

Raphinha emerged as a target for Tuchel in January, but the 25-year-old was expected to join Barcelona.

Financial troubles at Camp Nou scuppered those plans, and a move in England is now likely.
