Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) president and singer Cindy Sanyu has hit at fellow president Eddy Kenzo of the Ugandan National Musicians Federation (UNMF).
She revealed that with or without Eddy Kenzo, the copyright law will be amended.
Eddy Kenzo formed a new federation when Cindy Sanyu wasn’t active as the president. She had taken a break to focus on her family and new born baby after giving birth.
The main aim of Eddy Kenzo’s new federation is said to be about fighting for the copyright law and making sure the creatives benefit from their content.
However, people were curious about UMA joining the Federation and making things work out.
According to Cindy Sanyu, Eddy Kenzo used the opportunity of her absence to steal the ideas of UMA to form his federation.
She said as UMA, they have been fighting for the copyright law and now that they are in final stages, Eddy Kenzo is coming up with his federation.
The king herself told Eddy Kenzo that with or without him, the Copyright law will be amended after all they have been fighting for it in his absence.
“As UMA, we’ve been handling the copyright issue and we are in the final stages. Whether the federation is there or not, the copyright law will be amended ,”- Cindy sanyu
