TRANSFERS: Former KCCA FC Defender, Habib Kavuma Joins Katwe United

Habib Kavuma has completed move to Fufa Big League side Katwe United on a three year contract.

Katwe United confirmed the signing of veteran defender.

“Katwe United is delighted to announce the acquisition of former SC Villa captain and defender Habib Kavuma.”

Kavuma who has been a free agent after leaving SC Villa at the end of the 2018-19 season, previously played for SC Villa, Bunamwaya (now Vipers), KCCA, Lukuli United FC, APR in Rwanda and Uganda Cranes.

Meanwhile Katwe United have confirmed parting ways with Richard Gaza Kigozi, Joshua Kaliisa, Mudira Kenneth, Denis Ojara, Ronald Sseku and former Express winger Joel Male.

Kavuma brings both experience and leadership to the Allan Ssewanyana bankrolled outfit ahead of the second half of the FUFA Big League season.

The Katwe based outfit coached by experienced Allan Kabonge are at bottom of the Elgon Group table with five points after eight games having managed two draws and one win.
