City socialite, Olimu Charles aka Sipapa and wife, Nakiyimba Shamira have been further remanded to Luzira Prison on charges of aggravated robbery.

Sipapa and Shamira and others were paraded before Makindye Magistrate Court on September 9 and remanded to Luzira Prison on 6 counts of robbery.

Sipapa and his colleagues robbed cash USD 429,000, 4 iPhone, 2 Apple laptops, a DELL laptop, gold Jewelry for his wife, a 65-inch Sumsung TV among others from South Sudanese, Jacob Arok.

Today, they were brought to court again but remanded until October 10.

In related development, Sipapa’s mother-in-law (Shamira’s mum), Annet Nsamba was arrested and detained at Kabalagala Police station on allegations of keeping some of the stolen exhibits.

Annet Nsamba was arrested on a rainy Tuesday evening when Police officers found her at the shop where she works and took her to her home to carry out investigations.

Upon searching the home, the Police discovered that she was in possession of some of the stolen items that had Sipapa and the wife Sasha Shamira arrested.

The items are said to have been handed to her by Sipapa’s wife Shamira before she was arrested and the Police confirmed her arrest.
