Hon Ssegirinya on why he regrets being MP

Hon Ssegirinya Muhammad of Kawempe North has revealed that he actually regrets being a Member of Parliament.

He said he wishes he had remained a councilor maybe life would have been so much better than it is now.

Hon Ssegirinya joined Parliament under National Unity Platform (NUP) led by singer and politician Bobi Wine real name Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu.

But ever since he was voted, Hon Ssegirinya has been facing problems. It started with his academic documents as they were saying he didn’t go to school.

After that Hon Ssegirinya was accused of killing Masaka people and he was arrested alongside Makindye West MP Hon Allan Ssewanyana.

These two spent almost two years behind bars and during the time in prison, Hon Ssegirinya was complaining of sickness all the time.

After releasing them, Hon Ssegirinya moved to Netherlands for treatment but still it hasn’t been smooth on his side.

Some of NUP politicians said Ssegirinya wasn’t sick he was just pretending just because he complained about the accumulating medical bills.


On his return from Netherlands, Hon Ssegirinya said he will never forgive NUP Deputy spokesperson Alex Mufumbiro because of what he said.

He even saud Mufumbiro should never show up on his burial because he was saying that he is not sick.
