Bongo Star Diamond Platnumz is willing to help out a few families in need during these trying times of coronavirus. The singer has come up with a plan to ensure he gives many families peace of mind by enabling them avoid eviction from their homes.

Diamond shared his upcoming plan on Instagram as he revealed an offer to pay rent for many families in Tanzania. He acknowledged that a lot had changed due to the pandemic and life had become difficult for many people. “Countless life circumstances have changed especially in businesses, many are drowning hence rendering to financial difficulties and life becoming a little bit tough to many of us,” Diamond said.

As much as his life had also been hit hard economically, Diamond said he was to pay three months’ rent for 500 families to help out during the struggle with the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Although I am amongst those affected, with the little that God has blessed me with, I have decided to at least offer a helping hand by paying three months house rent to 500 families as my kind gesture of helping one another during these terrible times of fighting COVID-19. I believe I should share your troubles and your happiness too,” he added. He promised to roll out the plan and mention which families were going to get the help on Monday, April 27.

The singer was directly hit by the disease after his personal manager and part of his crew contracted COVID-19. He was forced to go into quarantine with some of his employees to ensure he was keeping others safe in case he had contracted the virus.

Diamond aired a show while in his isolation house called Karantini, where his fans were given exclusive footage to the crew’s life and things they did while in quarantine. However, some fans thought he was not treating the disease with the respect it deserved as he wanted to make money out of it. Luckily, after the end of the 14 days, the singer was confirmed negative and ready to return back home.
