Eddy Kenzo on why he didn’t support UMA

June 17, 2023

Multiple Award winner Edirisa Musuuza famously known as Eddy Kenzo has revealed reasons why he didn’t support Uganda Musicians Association (UMA).

He said he wasn’t convinced that their intentions to the music industry were pure and taking the music industry to another level.

UMA has been in existence for some years but it has had challenge especially in their leadership.

There has been fighting for the presidential seat and that has kinda hindered it from moving forward like it should.

As an artiste who wants development, Eddy Kenzo decided to form his own federation that takes on musicians.

He was appointed as the president alongside other three deputies Sheebah, Pallaso and Juliana Kanyomozi.

People have been wondering if the Federation is against the association but Eddy Kenzo has cleared the air saying they all believe in one thing.

The only difference is that UMA was very slow in it’s action although he wasn’t part of it, he was watching it from a distance.

According to Eddy Kenzo, he has all the rights not to subscribe to UMA and that’s why he is now a president of his own federation.

“Prior to joining the Uganda Musicians Federation, I chose not to be part of the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) because I wasn’t convinced, and I have every right to not subscribe,”- Eddy Kenzo
