Singer, Stephen Andrew Katende aka Dre Cali has been spotted in Toronto, Canada for the first time since he informally quit Mpaka Records.
In March word started making rounds that Dre Cali quit Mpaka Records and and fled to Canada.
It is alleged that Cali was forced to exit the country after his former management, Wyse Technologies Limited dragged him to court for breach of a five year contract.
Wyse Technologies Limited demanded 81m from the ‘Ekifuba’ singer for the damages he caused them and compensation for dishonoring their agreement.
As rumour gained momentum, Mpaka Records boss, Ykee Benda confirmed that Cali quit the record label, though informally.
He also decried Cali’s wife and mother for learning and hiding his heartless move of illegally quitting Mpaka Records without considering of the company’s generous investments in his talent.
Since then, Cali went AWOL until today when Ykee’s follower, Burk Holder shared Dre Cali’s photo as a reply on Ykee Benda’s Twitter pinned post.
Cali appears having some good vibes with his other four friends in Toronto Canada.
In response, Ykee Benda wished Cali the very best in his endeavors.
“Wishing him the very best🙏🏻♥️,” Ykee Benda tweeted.
