Earlier this week, word came in indicating that Mpaka records singer, Stephen Andrew Katende aka Dre Cali bitterly split with his boss, Ykee Benda and fled to Canada.
The news about the split was announced by NBS television gossipmonger, Isaac Kawaalya aka Kayz who revealed that Cali got a 10-year Visa when he had gone to perform in Canada last year.
Before fleeing to Canada, Cali’s former management team, Wyse Technologies Limited were on his neck for breaching a five year contract.
Wyse Technologies Limited demanded 81m from the singer for the damages he caused them and compensation for dishonoring their agreement.
To put rumours to bed, Mpaka Records operations mamager, Gashumba Louis, issued a statement and insisted there is no any existing disagreement and that they are still in good relations with Cali.
