Aponye Dies In Car Accident

Renowned businessman, Apollo Nyegameh aka Aponye died in accident on Thursday evening after the car in which he was travelling rammed into a stationary lorry along Mbarara-Kabale highway in Ntungamo District.

The driver and other two occupants were rushed to Itojo hospital for treatment after surviving the crash with injuries.

Aponye’s body was also taken to Itojo Hospital which is about 200 meters from the crash site.

We have been told that Aponye was travelling to his home village, Kigo – Muhanga town council, Rukiga District to attend a burial ceremony.

Aponye is a renowned businessman and owns a string of businesses; Aponye Uganda Limited that deals in Produce, Real Estate, Transport, Supermarkets among others.
