URA FC Duo Sam Ssimbwa, Cromwell Rwothomio Voted January’s Best

URA FC head coach, Sam Ssimbwa and striker Cromwell Rwothomio have been named Pilsener best coach and Player of the month of January at Kati Kati Restaurant, Lugogo this morning.

Unlike in the past, this time nomination and voting was done online.

Ssimbwa who managed collect 10 points in January by winning 3 matches and drawing one beat Bright Stars coach Paul Kiwanuka with 50% to 26.1%.

Ssimbwa won SC Villa (1-0), BUL (3-1), Bright Stars (1-0), KCCA (2-1). and 1-1 away draw against Tooro United.

Cromwell Rwothomio saw off competition from teammate, Saidi Kyeyune and Police FC forward Ben Ocen to win the player of the month gong.

The URA forward scored three goals in 4 matches and also bagged named man of the match once.

Ssimbwa expressed his delighted and thanked his coaching staff and the players

“I am very happy to have won this award and I thank my coaching staff, players and the media. We are to remain focused on winning our games to finish the season on a high.” He stated.

The two winners walked away with a cash prize of Shs1M each and an accolade.
