Musicians, Ssemanda Manisul aka King Saha and Cinderella Sanyu alias Cindy have intensified campaigns as Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) announce voting dates.

Last week, Cindy and King Saha were combing Northern Uganda for votes as both camps persuade musicians that they are best candidates to lead them.

In response to James Propa, Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) electoral commission chairman, Mr. Jeff Geoffrey Ekongo confirmed that the public presidential debate will take place on May 21, 2022. The voting will be on the 23rd of the same month.

“Debate is scheduled to take place on Saturday 21st May 2022 shortly before the elections scheduled for Monday 23rd May 2022,” a Tweet from UMA read.

The UMA bosses however failed to clarify whether the voting will be a digital, secret ballot, or lining up behind candidates.

The biggest competition is between musicians King Saha and Cindy Sanyu. The winner will lead the association for the next two and a half years.
