Prim Asiimwe has resigned from Galaxy 100.2 FM Zzina after a decade working with the Kansanga-based local radio station.

Prim Joined Blue Cube Ltd – a mother to Galaxy FM in 2012 after she became first runners up at Miss Uganda Beauty Pageant 2011. When Galaxy FM launched in 2013, she got a chance and started presenting on the ‘Evening Rush’ program.

Later, she was added another program – ‘Top 20 Count down’ on Saturday. Today, she threw in a towel and left the station.

Who is Prim Asiimwe?

Prim Asiimwe is a Munyoro from Bunyoro. She joined modeling during her S.6 vacist and contested for Miss Uganda 2011. She lost out to Sylvia Namutebi, becoming the first the runners up.

Joining Galaxy FM:

Blue Cube the mother to Galaxy FM was among the sponsors of Miss Uganda 2011. They offered the First runners up a one-year job contract as the reward.

In the same period, Blue Cube was setting up a radio station, Galaxy FM. Fortunately, she landed a gig on the ‘Evening Rush’. Additionally, she was offered another program on Saturday – The Top 20 count down.

Having sired a child with comedian, Alex Muhangi, it did not stop Prim from aiming higher. She resumed school and graduated with Bachelors Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication majoring in Public Relations in 2022.

After graduation, Galaxy FM offered her the Public Relations job in addition to radio presentation.

On top of being a media personality, she is also an influencer signed under Swangz Avenue.

Why quit Galaxy FM?

Unconfirmed reports say Prim decided to quit after failing to agree with her bosses on the salary increment. Word also has it that a top media house is already in talks to offer her a fat contract.

Prim has been the longest serving employee at Galaxy FM. Over the years, Galaxy FM has been losing presenters; Cotlida, Mariat, Arthur Da’ Vaccine, Mutaawe, Kyamagero, Nalebo, Dikhanio, Haffy Powers among many others.
