Uganda police Criminal investigations Department (CID) have summoned National Unity Platform (NUP) members of parliament; Ssegirinya Mohammad and Ssewanyana Allan over Greater Masaka ‘Bijambiya’ murders.

In the letters displayed by NUP president, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine, Director, Criminal Investigations, Paul Katto Tumuhimbise, summoned Kawempe North MP, Ssegirinya and Makindye West legislator, Ssewanyana to appear at Masaka Police station on Monday, September 6th at 10am before D/SSp Moses Taremwa to record a statement in respect to investigations.

According to Bobi Wine, they predicted this move and claims Police are planning to implicate the ongoing Masaka murders on the NUP leaders.

As predicted, the Museveni regime has actualised their plan of implicating NUP leaders in the ongoing spate of murders in Greater Masaka. When Chris Baryomunsi said this last week, it looked like a joke. But as we now know, anything is possible in Uganda.

Yesterday, The Masaka Chief Magistrates’ Court has charged and remanded 10 people to Masaka Ssaza Prison until September 15 over the recent spate of killings by machete-wielding thugs in the Greater Masaka area.

At least 28 people have been killed in the Greater Masaka region, causing panic among the residents.
