Victoria Bagaya weds Martin Kiggundu
NBS TV news anchor, Victoria Bagaya married her long-term boyfriend and fiance, Martin Kiggundu at Lake Victoria Serena-Kigo on Friday, December 31, 2021.
The function was attended by media personalities, friends and relatives from both her late mum and dad’s side.
Bagaya, a princess from Tooro Kingdom has been dating Martin for close to three years and decided to make their relationship official.
In October last year, Martin visited Bagaya’s relatives in colourful ‘Kukyala’ ceremony that took place in Fort Portal. This was followed by the introduction and giveaway in December.
Martin Kiggundu comes from Kashaari county, Mbarara district. His mother is a Muyankole while his dad is a Muganda.
Victoria Bagaya comes from Tooro Royal family, his late dad, David is a cousin to King Rukirabasaija Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV. Princess Elizabeth Bagaya is the one who gave her the name Bagaya.
Bagaya’s mum, Peace also passed on when she was still young.
2021 witnessed media personalities committing themselves; In September, Canary Mugume wedded Fiona Nagirinya aka Sasha Ferguson. In October, Raymond Mujuni wedded NTV workmate, Rita Kanya, the same month, ‘Akawungeezi’ news reader, Frank Walusimbi was introduced by Flavia.
In September, NTV’s News reporter John Cliff Wamala married his campus sweetheart Nahabwe Saphira Rweizire among many others.
