Midfielder Ivan Ntege and winger Micheal Birungi have left URA FC after both their contracts with the club expired.

Ntege and Birungi became tax collectors in 2019, and they now depart the club after two good years of football in which they both managed to score a goal on top of working tirelessly to see that the team gets positive results.

Ntege scored on his debut against Maroons FC in the opening match of the 2019/2020 season.

Birungi’s goal came in his debut season as well, at home (Arena of Visions – Ndejje University) against SC Villa in the second round.

Ntege joined URA FC on a two-year deal as a free agent following the expiration of his contract at Botswana outfit Township Rollers.

Birungi, from Express in the same transfer market, agreed to a two-year contract keeping him at URA until 2021.

At the beginning of July, Brian Majwega left four time champions, URA FC and returned to KCCA FC.

After the departure of Sam Ssimbwa, URA FC appointed Uganda Cranes U23 Assistant Coach, former URA FC legend & Club Captain Massa Simoen on an interim basis.

Masaba will faces an uphill task to steer URA FC who finished second in Uganda Premier League last season.
