Mbarara City FC Complete The Signing Of Ex-SC Villa Striker, Bashir Mutanda

Mbarara City Football Cub have completed the signing of striker, Bashir Mutanda on a one year contract ahead of 2020/21 Uganda Premier League season.

Mutanda who was unveiled by Mbarara City FC, was a free agent after his contract with SC Villa expired at the end of last season.

Mutanda will fill the void left by Brian Aheebwa who joined KCCA on a three year deal.

Mutanda’s task is to search for goals with striker Jude Semugabi.

Mutanda, a graduate of the FUFA Juniors League, previously featured for Vipers SC and Kirinya Jinja SS (now known as Busoga United).

He joined SC Villa in 2018 and went on to score 13 league goals in his first season with the Jogoos.

He joins former Light SA FC duo of Ronald Edwok and Godfrey Kalungi and defender Karim Ramathan as the other new signings confirmed by the Mbarara outfit in this ongoing transfer window.

Midfielder Samali Farouk also returned from a season-long loan at FUFA Big League side Kigezi Homeboyz FC.

Mbarara City FC finished seventh last season.
