Uganda’s record label, Master’s Music yesterday confirmed the signing of veteran musician, Iryn Namubiru at their offices in Ntinda.
Namubiru started her music journey with Juliana Kanyomozi in a duo ‘I-Jay’ and rose to fame in 2000s with hit song, ‘Nkuweeki’ and the rest is history.
After signing a long term contract with Master’s Music, Namubiru said she was excited to be back and vowed to release hit songs.
About retiring from music after singing for a long time, Namubiru said that music is not like football where players reach a point and retire because, for music, you can go on for years and years if you still have a voice.
At the same event, Master’s Music unveiled Kin Bella, a new female artiste, and King Solomon Music.
Sama Soja, a young talented artiste was also unveiled but according to close sources, he will not fully be working with Masters but rather working with them only on the song he has with Irene Namubiru titled Kikondolo.
