Sacked: Douglas Bamweyana

Uganda Prisons service bankrolled, Maroons Football Club have sacked head coach, Douglas Bamweyana over poor results.

Maroons have lost five league games in a row, falling in the relegation docket as they remain on 24 points from 25 games.

They last won a league match on January 18th after defeating BUL 2-0at home in Luzira.

Bamweyana was appointed head coach at the start of the season in July last year, replacing Robert Ssekweyama who had been serving on an interim basis.

Maroons had an impressive start to the season that saw Bamweyana voted the Pilsner coach of the month for September.

At Maroons FC, Bamweyana has managed to win six of the 25 league games, losing 13 and drawing the other six.

Maroons are now in 14th place with five games left.
