Liverpool are interested in Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe

A report coming out of Spain has suggested that Liverpool are interested in Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe.

According to Spanish outlet El Desmarque, as cited by HITC, Liverpool have made a formal offer for the 21-year-old. However, no fee has been mentioned within the report.

Mbappe has had an incredible season for PSG. The striker has scored 30 goals and registered 17 assists in all competitions for the club.

Those aforementioned statistics do suggest that Mbappe would be a top signing for the Reds.

This latest report suggesting that Liverpool have tabled an offer for the Frenchman does seem unlikely. Due to the coronavirus, football has completely stalled across Europe.

With that being the case, one would think that this transfer would be the last thing on Liverpool’s radar. Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has already stated that football is not that important at this current moment due to the coronavirus.

Besides, it has been reported that Mbappe was in the process of joining Real Madrid before the coronavirus outbreak. If that were to be true, that ultimately does suggest that Mbappe’s head is set on a move to Spain.
