Faridah Nakazibwe: Why She Quit NTV, Her New Job Revealed

Faridah Nakazibwe signed out from NTV Uganda on September 30th, following 17 years of tireless and dedicated service at Serena-based station.

She was among the Pioneers when NTV Uganda went on air in December 2006. On NTV, Faridah was a news reader for weekly 7pm Luganda news ‘Akawungeezi’ and also hosted the morning show, Mwasuze Mutya.

Since quitting NTV, analysts though the coarse-voiced presenter was headed for a fat job in other organizations like her former co-news reader, Frank Walusimbi.

However, she has decided to do her own stuff. According to her close friend who preferred anonymity, intimated to us that Faridah was fatigued and felt it was the right time to quit the television job.

Faridah Nakazibwe’s weekly schedule would start at 7am, prepare for Mwasuze Mutya, then edits news and waits for ‘Akawungezi’ news at 7pm.

While at NTV, she used her name and fame to get personal endorsements; OMO, Sumz, Chipper Cash among many others, thanks to her big following on social media.

Her endorsements were bringing in a lot of money compared to her monthly salary which was rumoured to be below 5m. On top of endorsements, the mother of two beautiful girls own a YouTube channel.

As we speak, Faridah decided to concentrate on her endorsements at the same time work with Comfort Homes, a real housing Estate that build, rents and sells houses.

With her links with Maria’s Bridal and Kushona Designers, she also ventured into events and currently doing decorations for parties and events.

Her friend says Faridah feels free and has time to check on her mum regularly, spends quality time with her girls and also has time to do her own stuff at free will.
