Bobi Wine Kicks Off Presidential Election Consultations Next Week, To Visit 7 Districts

In July, 2019, ‘People Power’ supremo and Kyadondo East MP, Robert Kyagulanyi a.k.a Bobi Wine declared his intentions to take on long-time President Yoweri Museveni in 2021 national elections and since the announcement, he has been traversing the world fundraising money to help him mobilise people.

Bobi Wine has written to Inspector General of Police about his consultations which will start on Monday in Kyadondo East, and then head to other six districts in Northern Uganda.

The specific districts of Northern Uganda are Gulu District (Tuesday 7th Jan), Lira District (Wednesday 8th Jan), Adjumani District (Thursday 9th Jan), Yumbe District (Friday 10th Jan), Arua District (Saturday 11th Jan), and Zombo District (Sunday 12th Jan).

Bobi Wine says he intend to reach all corners of Uganda and requests security agencies not to interfere with his program.

Section 3 of the Presidential elections act 2005, gives powers to candidates intending to run for presidential seat to consult people.
