Speaker Rebecca Kadaga Asks Government To Pay Eddy Kenzo’s Bills And Bring Him Back Home

It’s almost 3 months since president Museveni announced Coronavirus lockdown and banned passenger flights in the country.
The lockdown found Eddy Kenzo in Ivory Coast where he had gone to perform at the Masa Fest on March 16th. The lockdown would have found the ‘Tweyagale’ singer already in Uganda but delayed in the Ivory Coast to record a couple of songs with West African artistes.
The lockdown was meant to last for 30 days but was later extended which pushed Eddy kenzo into exorbitant costs since he stays in a hotel.
Since the lockdown, Eddy Kenzo has been bedridden twice and has been pleading with the government to allow him return home in vain.
This forced him to call the speaker of parliament, Rebecca Kadaga who called upon Ministry of Foreign Affairs to aid the BET winner return home but also meet his bills.
She also promised to inform president Museveni about his situation so that he can be assisted.

I will be informing H.E. @KagutaMuseveni about this matter so that he can be assisted. For him its even worse bse he is in a French speaking country. Life is not as easy as it would be if he was in an English-speaking country where he could talk with people and get assistance.

To Kadaga, it’s hard for Kenzo and life is not easy as it would be if he was in an English-speaking country. Ivory Coast uses French.
