As Ugandans continue to battle difficult economic times, speaker of Parliament Anita Among and her Deputy Thomas Tayebwa are set to receive new cars.
The parliament reportedly procured two Mercedes Benz S500 cars from the United Kingdom (UK) at a cost of UGX2.88Bn.
One of the two Mercedes Benz S500 cars is already in the country. The second vehicle is expected in the country before the end of the week.
The purchase of these vehicles has met a backlash from some government officials and the public describing it as unnecessary expenditure given the difficult economic times.
