Solomon Serwanjja has ventured in side hustle and opened up a cafe weeks after quitting NBS TV.

On July 30th, Serwanjja exited NBS TV following six years of service.

Serwanjja who won 2019 BBC World News Komla Dumor Award for his investigative story on the illegal sale of prescription drugs, is now Executive Director of African Institute for Investigative Journalism.

He has started his new job with a bang and his first investigative story dubbed ‘Defiled by my father’ an investigation exposing the loopholes in Uganda’s judicial system will be airing soon.

Since quitting NBS TV, Serwanjja seems to be having some resting time and decided to convert it into a side hustle.

He opened aG-Cafe and Lounge located at Oil Libya fuel station along the Gayaza-Nakwero road.

Apart from NBS TV, Serwanjja also worked as news reporter and anchor for KTN, UBC and NTV.

Solomon Serwanjja recently graduated with a Degree of Master of Arts in Journalism and Communication from Makerere University.
