'After 5' Fantastic 5: Douglas Lwanga, DVJ Mercy Pro, Sheilah Gashumba, DJ Roja and MC Kats

On Friday, November 5, NBS TV officially announced Sheilah Gashumba as a new co-host of ‘After 5’ show, joining Douglas Lwanga, MC Kats, DJ Roja and DVJ Mercy Pro.

This came as a shock to many who thought NBS TV was going to recruit fresh talent following adverts that they were running asking interested individuals to post their videos recordings while presenting on social media with hashtag #After5.

In May 2020, Sheilah caused chaos on social media after she went public and revealed she was being paid 50k per show on NTV.

She vowed never to work for peanuts arguing that she would rather sell Samosas.

In bid to make her own dime, she started a Facebook show with her estranged boyfriend, God’s Plan titled ‘God’s Plan & Gash Lounge‘ but did not live past its first episode.

Following a year off TV, Sheilah bounced back on set with a South African Television, Honey TV presenting ‘House Of Chefs’ show.

With NBS TV ‘After 5’ gig, concerned netizens have been asking themselves how much did Kin Karisa table for the Lil Stunner to make a U-turn and work for Uganda TV again.

According to Sheilah, she made the right decision which Douglas and MC Kats also made when switching from NTV.

Common sense isn’t common. There is a reason why Douglas and Kats left to another station (better cheque) and there is a reason why the best tv presenter has joined the best tv station NBS TV. Do your research and stop the noise..

Since Sheilah Gashumba is also much involved in organizing events, she hopes to take advantage of the opportunity.
