Mass Exodus Continue At NBS TV As News Anchor, Samson Kasumba Quits

News anchor, Samson Kasumba has quit NBS TV after 4 years at Kamwokya-based station.

Kasumba who quit Urban TV in August 2016 and join Kin Kariisa headed NBS TV, took to Twitter to announce his departure.

“I don’t like good byes. You’ve made me so comfortable and made me feel so much at home the time I have been with you. Now seems I’ve got to start over again making some other place feel home. That’s life right? Nothing seems permanent as it is”, Samson Kasumba Tweeted.

We have not yet established the reason behind ‘NBS TV Live at 9′ news reader’s departure but many employees have been quitting Media Plaza under unclear circumstances.

Recently, Tuesday morning popular hard hitting ‘One on One With Tamale Mirundi’ program was scrapped abruptly and later, Tamale Mirundi revealed that  Kin Kariisa asked him not to mention some individuals which the self proclaimed arrogant man declined.

Since then, Tamale Mirundi and his host, Kazibwe Bashir Mbaziira have joined SK Mbuga’s Buziga-based, STV.

Other high profile presenters who have quit NBS TV include; Charles Odogtho, Simon Muyanga Lutaaya, Shawn Kimuli, Raymond Mujuni, Sheila Tusiime Mugisha, Mable Twegumye Zaake among others.

Joseph Sabiiti had quit but recently returned and he is hosting Thursday night political program ‘NBS Frontline’.
