Events promoter, Luba Events has secured court order from High court stopping Eddy Kenzo from performing in Uganda until they settle their grievances.

Luba says he signed an agreement and paid Eddy Kenzo 120m to organise ‘Eddy Kenzo Festival’ in 2020 at Kololo Independence Grounds but after investing heavily, lockdown happened.

After the lockdown, Luba approached Kenzo to agree on the date for the show but the ‘Stamina’ hitmaker told him that they can only talk if he can raise 520m.

Luba tried to talk to Kenzo in vain. In bid to recover the money that he had already paid to Eddy Kenzo, Luba rushed to court and secured a court order.

The court order was supposed to stop the Festival on Saturday from taking place but Kenzo used his connections and made it happen.

Luba says he wants his money and showed off court order which prohibits any promoter from organising Eddy Kenzo’s shows in Uganda. Eddy Kenzo himself is ordered not to perform at any concert until he settles his matters with Luba.

Yesterday, Kenzo cried in a press conference and told journalists that some people wants to kill him.

In an interview, Luba distanced himself from the talk that he wants to kill ‘Kaana Kambata’ and revealed that Kenzo told him that he will host a press conference, cry and go to the president and secure his money.

Luba says he wasn’t shocked when they told him that Kenzo cried at the press conference.
