Liverpool crowned Premier League champions to end 30-year wait

Liverpool are officially Premier League winners for the first time, ending a 30-year wait to be crowned title winners once again.
Manchester City’s failure to beat Chelsea on Thursday evening wrapped up the title for the Reds.
By winning the league with seven games remaining, Liverpool have set a new record.
It is the Reds’ 19th top flight title but their first since 1990, making it the first time they have lifted the Premier League.
An incredible season has seen Liverpool win 28 and lose just one of their 31 matches so far.
Another five wins from the remaining seven games would see them beat Manchester City’s 100-point record for a Premier League campaign.
