KCCA FC has confirmed that they have agreed to mutually terminate the contract of Nigerian striker, John Egbuonu Odumegwu.

During his time at KCCA, Odumegwu scored one goal against Maroons FC on October 22, 2019 in a 1-3 away win.

The Club acting CEO, Michael Kirunga confirmed the decision taken by the club to let go of the burly Nigerian striker.

“Yes, it is true the club has mutually agreed with Odumegwu to terminate his contract. We thank him for his time at the club and wish him the very best in his future.” He told the club website.

KCCA FC signed Odumegwu as a replacement for Patrick Kaddu who had moved to Morocco but his behaviour off the pitch landed him in hot soup with manager, Mike Mutebi.

In December 2019, Odumegwu was arrested by the police for abducting three MUBS students at his residence in Mutungo, Bina.
