Word from Seguku indicates that legendary, Jose Chameleone will be taking a long break from music to be with his family.
Chamili who splashed over $200,000 (about Shs 730million) on a mansion in Minneapolis Minnesota, US and relocated his entire family in 2019, has spent almost three years without seeing them.
He wanted to go but visa and Covid-19 travel restrictions frustrated him. Last month he finally secured the visa and he is readying himself to go.
According to inside sources, ‘Bayuda’ hitmaker will be taking a three months break effective June.
His break comes at a time when revelers especially from NUP have been threatening to boycott his shows over his bitter words he aired out during Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s 48th birthday celebrations at Cricket Oval-Lugogo. This forced some promoters abroad to cancel his concerts.
Chameleone launched his bid for the Kampala Lord Mayor on Democratic party (DP) ticket.
He later joined NUP with other DP members. However, Bobi Wine snubbed him and handed the party flag to Latif Sebagala who later pulled out.
Hoping he was going to be given a chance, Bobi Wine and his NUP electoral committee snubbed him again and endorsed Nabilah Nagayi Sempala instead.
This angered Chameleone til this date.
