Jose Chameleone Secures Impounded Car Back From URA

2021 Kampala Lord Mayor hopeful, Joseph Mayanja aka Jose Chameleone has finally secured his car back from Uganda Revenue Authority (URA).
In April, URA customs officers impounded Chameleone’s 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser V8 reg. No. SSD 499B that was gifted to him by South Sudanese business lady, Achai Wiir over lack of proper tax documentation.

In July, URA dragged Chameleone to anti-corruption court accusing him of failure to pay the car’s import duty tax of Shs.137,350,725.
As we speak, Chameleone managed to settle the case with URA and was spotted cruising the V8 around town.

He even managed to change the registration number plate to UBH 013N.
