Legendary Jose Chameleone has been gifted 2020 Land Rover Range Rover SVAutobiography LWB by president Museveni’s brother, Michael Nuwagira alias Toyota.
The car registration No. UBJ 415D is valued at $209,500 (equivalent to Shs.730M).
While speaking at an event organized by Toyota Nuwagira, Chameleone went on record to say, he has never left the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM).
“My greatest witness can be Mr. Toyota, my friend, I am still your family, I have never left NRM. If you doubt that, put up your cameras and record me. I am still NRM,” Chameleone said.
He said that he had his issues and situations, but he is a prodigal son.
The singer’s speech must have moved Toyota who snatched him off the stage, held his hand, and led him to where his car, a Range Rover 2021 model was parked.
Chameleone has been broke and after learning that several groups were getting financial help from chief coordinator Operation Wealth Creation, he formed an association called Uganda Superstars Association and led a group of artistes to Gulu to meet Gen. Salim Saleh.
They spent over two weeks camping in hotels and finally met Gen. Saleh. They gave him a list where each artiste had stated the amount he wanted as bail out.
Their move was criticized by Bobi Wine who branded them beggars.
Almost two months down the road, Chameleone has been gifted a range Rover by Toyota.
Yesterday, he posted a 2020 Land Rover Range Rover SVAutobiography LWB at a fuel station and captioned it “Fueling up for 2022”.
Accompanied by his brother, Weasel Manizo, Chameleone later he showed off the sleek car packed in his compound besides his old Cadillac escalade.
Jose Chameleone is currently working on a new music album titled ‘I Am Joseph’ he intends to release on Independence day, October 9th.
